Sunday 12th May
For the Sheffield-Estelí annual Two Peaks Bike Ride
We look forward to welcoming more intrepid riders to help us raise funds for the environmental, social and human rights projects that we support in Nicaragua.
This year’s ride is a few weeks earlier than usual but we are hoping for a lovely clear day with great views for our riders over the glorious Peak District.
There will once again be 3 different signed and marshalled rides, all setting out from Hallamshire Tennis and Squash Club, off Ecclesall Road, Sheffield.
The routes are:
50 miles for those that want a challenging ride through Ringinglow, Hathersage, Bretton, Tideswell, Peak Forest, Mam Tor, Edale, Hope, Yorkshire Bridge, Stanage and Burbage, avoiding main roads where possible. The Edale lunch stop and marshalling point will enjoy its third year at Ruskin Villa, a mile outside the village on the right, as you’ll see in your ride guide. Set off between 8am and 9am.
20 miles for those who want an easier but still hilly bike ride through Burbage, Hathersage, and back under Stanage. Set off between 8am and 9am
10 miles for people who don’t cycle as regularly and children. It is a leisurely, safe ride, almost entirely off road, going through Endcliffe Park & Porter Brook to the Alpaca Farm in Ringinglow, and back through Forge Dam. There is even a pop up cafe on route to spur everybody on! Set off between 9am and 10am
Prices are: individuals £20, concessions and students £7, children £5, children with sponsorship form £3
Sponsorship: We don’t ask for sponsorship but donations over and above the registration fee are welcome. Experience has shown us that children often get more involved if they are collecting sponsorship!
Please note: Registration and starting point for all rides is at the Hallamshire Squash and Tennis Club at 716 Ecclesall Rd, Sheffield S11 8TA, just before the Rustlings Road entrance to Ecclesall Park.
We are most grateful to them for hosting us.
Register at eventbrite and pay on the day.
